ABOUT
William Earle and Son is a family owned business that has been operating since 1925.
After the birth of Joseph William Earle’s son, Robert Earle, he decided to open his own painting company that in the hope one day his son would join him. In 1948, at 16 years old, Robert joined his father in the family business and continued to work there until Robert was drafted into the Korean War. After he completed his tour, he returned home and to the business. Robert ran the business from 1953 until his retirement in 1999. Upon his retirement, he passed on the business to Robert “Doc” Whelan who had worked with the company from the age of 14 years old. Doc was in every way except blood, Robert’s son. Doc ran the company from 1999 until his passing in 2020. The business is now being run by the third and fourth generation, Robert’s daughter Jacquie and his grandchildren.
